Steak is a real treat to have at home. It's certainly not something we get regularly and so when we do it, we want to do it right.
My go-to for steak was straight up butter, salt & pepper. You can't go wrong, right?! While that's still a perfectly fine way to cook steak, as I've grown more confident in the kitchen, my food has become more adventurous and so started the hunt for super tender steak.
I arrived at this recipe, which not only tenderised the steak but also gave it a delicious depth of flavour. Served with truffle Parmesan chips and roasted red peppers, this one got a big thumbs up from my husband!

Super Tender Steak
Ingredients:
3tbsp white miso
1/4 cup olive oil
1tbsp wasabi powder
1tbsp sanbaizu
2tsp sugar
1/2tsp white wine vinegar
Mix all of these together, massage into the steak and leave to rest in the fridge for a few hours. To cook, add a generous knob of butter to a hot pan and cook to your preference!
